Job summary

Reading Truck is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a team in a busy manufacturing environment. You will execute the production plan, assign tasks, enforce policies, and drive improvements in methods, equipment, and procedures to meet production objectives.

The role requires an associate degree or 2+ years of supervisory experience, knowledge of LPCS/JDE, and strong problem-solving and organizational skills. Flexible scheduling and occasional travel may be needed to support operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associate’s degree or at least two years of supervisory experience in a production environment.
• Knowledge of production equipment, power tools, hand tools, tape measures and electrical tools.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule
• Ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong organizational skills
• Knowledge of LPCS/JDE
• Problem solving skills
• Computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite [Word, Excel]
• Leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Supervises employees in a production environment and executes the Production Plan.
• Assigns work, enforces policies, and supports improvements in production methods and procedures.
• Communicates production status with other departments.
• Ensures resources are available for employees to perform their jobs.
• Provides training and coaching to achieve organizational goals.
• Participates in interviewing, hiring, and new-employee onboarding.
• Supports 6S program implementation and maintenance.
• Travel may be required on occasion
