Job summary

Atlas Tube in Chicago, IL is seeking a Production Supervisor to coordinate labor, lead employee development, and ensure safe, efficient plant operations. You will enforce safety procedures, maintain quality standards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong communication, and a track record of delivering production goals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a full-time, onsite position in Chicago, IL.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
• Associate degree with emphasis in management or supervision preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of shop floor systems such as MES, SAP, or similar platforms.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Effective communication, leadership, and team-building abilities.
• Good time-management skills with ability to prioritize in a production-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop work schedules to ensure appropriate staffing levels and achievement of production goals.
• Delegate responsibilities to team members and maintain accountability for performance outcomes.
• Provide training and cross-training, conduct performance evaluations, and initiate disciplinary actions as needed.
• Hire, coach, develop, monitor, and evaluate team members and recommend personnel actions for approval.
• Perform quality checks on equipment and production areas to ensure customer and quality standards are met.
• Generate and review daily operational reports to ensure shift continuity and address issues proactively.
