Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or related field or equivalent manufacturing experience
• 1–3 years manufacturing experience considered acceptable with training
• Experience in leading a team on the plant floor
• Strong problem-solving and coaching capabilities
• Ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn new systems
• Knowledge of GMP/SOP and OSHA/quality standards

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage plant floor operations with responsibilities for production and quality
• Spend substantial time on the production floor mentoring and developing employees
• Plan and run day-to-day operations to exceed customer expectations
• Increase production capacity while reducing waste and controlling costs
• Ensure on-time shipping and adherence to safety and quality standards
• Recruit, train and develop plant staff; build future talent
• Analyze data to identify waste or overtime and implement improvements
• Develop systems to track productivity, quality, and asset utilization
• Monitor operations and take corrective actions as needed
• Communicate goals and progress to the plant team and management
