Job summary

You will lead safety, quality, and lean initiatives, coordinate staffing, and oversee performance, training, and timecards for your team. This role requires strong leadership and hands-on oversight.

Qualifications

• Education: High School or GED required.
• Team Leader experience.
• Graduate of Team Leader Academy or college degree.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Reads and interprets blueprints and customer specifications.
• Able to operate computers and basic software (DB, spreadsheets, word processing, email).
• Able to perform the physical requirements listed in the job description.
• Aptitude to learn and retain new information.
• Ability to organize and manage tasks.
• Must be self-directed with initiative.
• Certifications in First Aid, CPR and AED to be provided after hire.
• Certifications to lead and perform duties (e.g., welding/paint).
• English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety rules and requirements are followed.
• Direct and manage production activities to meet schedule and drawings.
• Define staffing plan based on production volume and prepare line for next shift.
• Manage rework/defects/scrap and implement preventative measures.
• Lead Lean Manufacturing activities and 5S organization.
• Supervise: interview, train, plan, assign, evaluate, discipline.
• Attend weekly safety meetings and relay topics to the team.
• Attend weekly Review Meetings to resolve BOM vs Sales Order discrepancies.
• Coordinate with Supervisors and Superintendent to meet production schedule.
• Work with Engineering to resolve build process issues affecting quality, safety, or performance.
• Communicate with Production Manager and ME/Maintenance on tooling, quality, and safety.
• Manage direct reports' timecards and vacation approvals.
• Other duties as assigned.
