Job summary

Great Dane is seeking a Production Supervisor to direct and manage trailer production lines, ensuring schedules and engineering drawings are followed with a strong focus on safety and quality. The role requires leading a team, coordinating with engineering and maintenance, and driving Lean initiatives in a high‑volume environment.

The ideal candidate has leadership experience, blueprints literacy, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• Education: High School or GED required; additional leadership training preferred.
• Team Leader Academy graduate or college degree is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; able to read blueprints and interpret specs.
• Ability to instruct, supervise, and lead teams; strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage trailer production activities to meet schedules and drawings.
• Lead safety compliance and drive 5S housekeeping in the work area.
• Coordinate staffing plans and shift readiness with supervisors and ME/maintenance.
• Review and resolve discrepancies between Sales Order data and BOM before production.
• Excel staffing plans, training, and performance reviews for direct reports.
• Collaborate with engineering to tackle build process issues impacting quality or safety.
• Communicate with Production Manager on tooling, quality, and safety concerns.
• Manage timecards, vacations, and attendance approvals for direct reports.
• Support continuous Lean manufacturing initiatives and safety observations.
