Job summary

Great Dane is seeking a Production Supervisor to direct trailer production activities across the Axle Department, Combo Start Line, and Sidewall line. You will ensure the area meets the production schedule and that trailers align with Engineering drawings.

You will lead safety, quality, and Lean initiatives, coordinate with engineering and maintenance, and manage timecards for team members while driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Team Leader experience and/or Team Leader Academy graduate.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and other specifications.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage the trailer production activities in assigned area to meet the production schedule and ensure compliance with drawings.
• Define staffing plan for the week, prepare lines for shift start, manage rework/defects/scrap, and implement Lean manufacturing activities.
• Conduct safety observations, follow up on 5S and standard work, and coordinate with ME/maintenance on tooling and safety.
• Manage direct reports' timecards, including in/out punches and vacation approvals.
• Attend weekly safety and production reviews and resolve discrepancies between Sales Orders and BOM before start of jobs.
