Job summary

Badger Meter, a leader in water technology, seeks a Production Supervisor to oversee hourly staff across multiple manufacturing departments in Milwaukee. You will ensure efficient production aligned with schedules, coach employees, and drive lean initiatives.

A Bachelor’s in a related field and 5+ years of supervisory experience are preferred. Responsibilities include training, safety compliance, performance reviews, and continuous improvement through data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• MSDS familiarity or equivalent knowledge.
• CPR and First Aid training or ability to obtain.
• Ability to use critical thinking to make important decisions for team and business operation.
• Ability to think and react quickly to production challenges.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
• Conflict resolution skills and collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Supervise hourly employees across multiple manufacturing departments ( Milwaukee area ).
• Coach and train direct reports; communicate goals and provide guidance.
• Collaborate with managers to optimize procedures and production schedules.
• Monitor metrics on the shop floor; ensure adherence to schedules and safety rules.
• Utilize manufacturing software for planning, scheduling, and packaging operations.
• Lead lean initiatives and implement corrective actions to resolve issues promptly.
• Conduct performance appraisals, attendance reviews, and wage considerations.
