Job summary

Badger Meter is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead hourly manufacturing staff and oversee daily production with a focus on safety, quality, and on‑time delivery. You will coach teams, drive continuous improvement, and ensure adherence to lean practices across multiple departments.

The ideal candidate brings a hands‑on leadership style, strong communication, and a track record of balancing employee engagement with operational excellence in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing or operations experience.
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong problem‑solving, decision‑making, and conflict‑resolution skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with MSDS/SDS requirements.
  • CPR and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain certification.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coach hourly manufacturing employees to maximize productivity, quality, and safety.

  • Monitor daily operations, staffing, equipment utilization, and workflow to ensure production schedules are met.

  • Identify and resolve production issues involving materials, equipment, quality, and processes.
  • Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and labor agreements.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, manage attendance, and support employee development and training.
  • Promote a safe, organized, and team‑oriented work environment.

What You Will Contribute:

Production Supervisor

The Production Supervisor leads hourly manufacturing employees and oversees daily production operations to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and delivery goals are achieved. This role provides hands‑on leadership, coaching, and support while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement across multiple manufacturing departments.
