Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas in Faribault, MN is seeking a production supervisor to monitor activities, coordinate workflow, and ensure on-time delivery while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will lead a team, train staff, analyze work orders, adjust machines, and drive cost-effective processes with a focus on meeting customer deadlines and optimizing throughput. This role requires 5+ years of related experience, a high school diploma (Bachelor's preferred), and strong leadership skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of related experience; Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred.
• 3+ years of direct supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitors production activities to eliminate delays and ensure adherence to production and shipping schedules.
• Assists in carrying out production objectives at the lowest cost, consistent with quality requirements.
• Assures safety and product quality while improving production procedures.
• Coordinates work flow with the various departments involved.
• Trains other employees in day-to-day procedures.
• Maintains quality/quantity standards regarding output.
• Analyzes work orders to estimate worker hours and create machining schedules.
• Interprets specifications and job orders to workers and assigns duties.
• Plans flow of materials through the department according to work orders.
• Interfaces with others to ensure customer deadlines are met.
• Inspects and measures parts to verify conformance to specifications.
• Directs workers in adjusting machines to repair products that fail to meet standards.
• Develops measures to improve production methods and equipment performance.

Monday-Thursday 2nd shift + Overtime

What you will do:

• Monitors production activities to eliminate delays and ensure adherence to production and shipping schedules
• Assists in carrying out production objectives at the lowest cost, consistent with the organization’s quality requirements
• Assures safety and product quality while improving production procedures
• Coordinates work flow with the various departments involved
• Reports damaged and defective equipment to management
• Trains other employees in day to day procedures
• Maintains quality/quantity standards regarding output
• Analyzes work orders to estimate worker hours and create machining schedules that meet both internal and external needs
• Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties
• Plans flow of materials through department according to work orders
• Interfaces with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met
• Inspects and measures parts and products to verify conformance to specifications
• Directs workers in adjusting machines and equipment to repair products that fail to meet standards
• Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules
• Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product
• Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew
• Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
• Maintains time and production records
• Assists with capital equipment justifications for machine tools and process technology to improve quality, cost, and cycle times
• Other duties as assigned

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $66,000 - $108,800 in MN. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
