Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas is hiring for a 2nd shift manufacturing role in Faribault, MN. Starting wages range from $27.64 to $29.50 per hour, with an additional $2.30 shift differential for second shift.

The position runs Monday through Thursday, 4:48pm to 3:18am, at the Faribault South facility. The role supports inventory movement, shipping/receiving, and production flow, with a focus on safety and 5S standards.

Qualifications

• Reads work orders or follows verbal instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
• Moves items into and out of storage, kitting area, and/or production areas.
• Follows safety rules and 5S standards; performs other duties as required.
• Maintains inventory location records and paper flow.
• Performs cycle counting functions.

Responsibilities

• Packs and seals parts, coils, or sections into containers or skids.
• Loads materials into/onto trucks and secures with strapping or padding.
• Operates picking systems, barcode scanners, PIT, power material-handling equipment, and trucks.
• Takes part in training for new team members.
• Collaborates with team to meet production requirements.

Your Responsibilities

• Reads work orders or follows verbal instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
• Moves items into and out of storage, kitting area, and/or production areas.
• Follows all safety rules and instructions, maintain 5S standards of work area and performs other functions on and off production line as required.
• Maintains necessary information and records for inventory locations on the computer and ensures appropriate paper flow with the materials/goods throughout the process.
• Performs cycle counting functions.
• Selects containers for parts or products.
• Packs and seals parts, coils, or sections into or onto fabricated containers or skids.
• Loads materials into/onto trucks and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
• Completes shipping or receiving reports and records.
• Operates picking systems, barcode scanners, PIT, power material-handling equipment, and trucks to move material and finished products.
• Takes part in the training process for all new team members.
• Provides input regarding the performance of new team members.
• Participates with other team members on safety, process and quality improvement teams.
• Works with team members, supervisors and support areas to coordinate workflow to meet production requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Your Qualifications

• The ability to lift, push, and/or pull materials, stand for majority of the shift, and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining proper PPE.
• The ability to use hand tools for extended periods of time.
• The ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• High School Education/GED OR Minimum 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
