Job summary

Cut Fruit Express, Inc. in Inver Grove Heights, MN is seeking a Production Supervisor for fresh produce processing. This role leads 50–100 associates across a day shift, reporting to the Production Manager, owning area performance from day one.

You will drive lean improvements, onboard temps, manage attendance and coaching, and build schedules aligned with production plans. Expect a hands-on environment with safety, GMP, sanitation and PPE standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of supervisory experience in a food manufacturing or hands‑on production facility (processing, packing, hand assembly).
• Experience leading and training teams of 15+, including temporary workers.
• Hands‑on lean or continuous improvement experience, with measurable results.

Responsibilities

• Own daily production for your area, directing associates and shift leads to hit safety, quality, and output targets.
• Drive process improvements using lean tools such as 5S, standard work, line balancing, and root-cause problem solving.
• Onboard new and temporary associates quickly with clear standard work and hands‑on training.
• Manage attendance, performance, and coaching, and develop your shift leads.
• Build schedules and line assignments around production plans and changing headcount.
• Enforce food safety, GMP, sanitation, and knife and PPE safety standards.
• Track yield, throughput, and labor efficiency, and coordinate with fellow supervisors and support teams to keep the floor running.

Cut Fruit Express | Inver Grove Heights, MN | Monday–Friday, Day Shift | Full-Time | $25–$30/hr, based on experience

No overnights. No weekends. Some OT expected.

About the role

Our floor runs on people, not robots: teams cut, process, pack, and inspect fresh produce all day, with constant quality checks. Reporting to the Production Manager, you'll be one of 3 supervisors leading 50–100 associates, many of them new or temporary. We need an experienced supervisor who can own their area from day one and get new people productive fast.

Required experience

• 2+ years of supervisory experience in a food manufacturing or hands‑on production facility (processing, packing, hand assembly), including scheduling, attendance, and performance management.
• Experience leading and training teams of 15+, including temporary workers.
• Hands‑on lean or continuous improvement experience, with results to show for it.
• Experience tracking production metrics such as yield, throughput, or labor efficiency.
• Working knowledge of GMP and food safety.
• Comfort on your feet in a cold, wet, fast‑paced environment.

Strongly preferred

• Fresh produce manufacturing experience.
• Lean or Six Sigma certification (Yellow or Green Belt).
• HACCP or PCQI certification.
• Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Hmong.
