THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking an Area Operations Manager responsible for leading a team of 30-50 wage associates to drive performance in Safety, Production, Quality, Delivery, and Cost. The role focuses on team development to meet customer satisfaction objectives.

Located in Spartanburg, our plant has been part of the community for over 40 years. Spartanburg offers a blend of city and country life, with walkable downtown, good dining options, and proximity to Greenville's amenities and international airport. Our facility produces the X ONE long haul truck tire, along with heavy-duty truck, military, and other large truck tires.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

1. Achieve performance levels aligned with business expectations and standards to satisfy customer demand.
2. Empower and visibly commit the team and its members.
3. Increase team autonomy through skill and responsibility development.
4. Provide leadership, support, and direction to approximately 30-50 production operators.
5. Identify and implement process improvements.
6. Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and continuous improvement teams to meet productivity goals.
7. Develop employees through coaching and performance management.
8. Monitor facility needs for succession planning and employee development opportunities.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• A bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering field is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
• 3-5 years of successful people management experience, preferably in an industrial setting.
• Proven track record in employee performance management, including attendance, productivity, and skill development.
• Proficiency in Excel data analysis; knowledge of Power BI is a plus.
