Job summary

Foxconn Industrial Internet - FII, based in Sunnyvale, seeks a Production Supervisor (EPD II) to oversee daily production on the floor, ensuring schedules, quality, safety, and throughput while coordinating with Engineering, Quality, PM, and Warehouse teams.

The role requires strong leadership, hands-on supervision of assemblers and operators, and a focus on continuous improvement through 6S and Kaizen. This is a full-time contract with potential conversion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related technical discipline preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 3–5 years of manufacturing experience; at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Experience with ERP/MRP and SFC; strong data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day production activities on assigned lines.
• Ensure targets and delivery schedules meet customer requirements.
• Drive improvements in yield, throughput, downtime, and labor efficiency.
• Lead and develop assemblers, operators, and line staff.
• Enforce safety, ESD, and ISO 9001 quality procedures.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, PM, and Warehouse to resolve issues.
• Support NPI, line setup, and process changes.
• Identify risks and escalate production issues promptly.
• Conduct shift handovers and daily production meetings.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and overtime per business needs.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lead, 6S, Kaizen).
• Maintain production records; use ERP/SFC for tracking.

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations on the production floor, ensuring sufficient of productions schedules while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and productivity, and collaborate cross-functionally to meet customer delivery and quality requirements.
This is a full-time contract position with the possibility of conversion to a permanent role after a minimum of six months.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate day-to-day production activities on assigned manufacturing lines.
• Ensure production targets, KPIs, and delivery schedules are met in alignment with customer requirements.
• Monitor and drive improvements in key metrics such as yield. throughput, downtime, and labor efficiency.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of assemblers, operators, and other line support staff.
• Enforce company policies, safety standards, ESD compliance, and quality procedures (ISO 9001).
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, PM, and Warehouse teams to resolve production issues and material shortages.
• Support new production introduction (NPI), line setup, and process changes as needed.
• Identify and escalation production risks, bottlenecks, and quality concerns in a timely manner.
• Conduct shift handovers, daily production meetings, and reporting on production performance.
• Ensure proper staffing, scheduling, and overtime management bases on business needs.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lead, 6S, Kaizen) to optimize operations.
• Maintain accurate production records and utilizes systems such as ERP/SFC for tracking and reporting.

Basic Qualifications

Education and Experience

• A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related technical discipline preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Minimum 1 year of prior team lead or supervisory experience required.

Shift and Pay

• Day Pay Range: $31-33/hr
• Swing Pay Range: $31-33/hr + 10% Shift Differential
• Graveyard Pay Range: $31-33/hr + 15% Shift Differential
