Qualifications

• Knowledge of standard electric motor designs.
• Knowledge of process improvement methods in an industrial setting.

• People management, motivation, and delegation techniques.

Responsibilities

• Effectively evaluate and adjust team workload, as necessary.
• Increase effectiveness by providing tools, training, and standardized processes that support daily operations.
• Communicate with all other departments to ensure proper workflow and timely completion of projects.
• Participate in special projects, focused on department-level improvements.
• Mentor junior team members and train or supervise the training of new hires; promote mentoring.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities per policies and laws; interview, hire, train, and appraise performance; address employee concerns.
• Ensure production areas are clean, organized, and professional.
• Drive improvements by reviewing processes, team performance, response times, and quality of service.
• Promote and monitor development of the team; coordinate training plans.
• Ensure materials and tools are in place to meet delivery schedules.
• Participate in intra-department meetings on scheduling, production, and quality issues.
• Own team goals and report results to management to keep production targets in focus.
