Job summary

WEG Electric Corp. has a production supervisor opportunity at the Pennsylvania Modification Center. This role supervises motor modification production and the technicians, monitors the process, assigns tasks, troubleshoots issues, and drives continuous improvement while ensuring regulatory and quality compliance.

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma or GED (associate degree preferred) and have 5 years in motor production, with 3 years in supervision, plus knowledge of SAP and MS Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent) is required; associate degree in a technical discipline is preferred.
• Knowledge of standard electric motor designs and related motor modification processes.
• Experience with SAP and similar software tools used for production planning and control.
• Familiarity with process improvement methods in an industrial setting.
• Understanding of company quality standards and procedures.
• People management, motivation, and delegation techniques.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite for reporting and documentation.
• Safety practices in an industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and adjust team workload to optimize throughput.
• Provide tools, training, and standardized processes to support daily operations.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure workflow and timely project completion.
• Participate in projects focused on department-level improvements.
• Mentor junior team members and coordinate training for new hires.
• Supervise according to policies; hire, train, and manage personnel; address issues as needed.
• Keep production areas clean, organized, and professional.
• Drive process improvements by reviewing performance and quality metrics.
• Develop and coordinate team training plans and ensure materials are available.
• Participate in intra-department meetings to discuss scheduling, production, and quality issues.
• Own team goals and report results to management to keep targets at the forefront.
