Job summary

WEG Electric Corp. in Portland, OR, seeks a Modification Technician to perform in-house motor modifications and support on-time project delivery.

You will modify motors to customer specs, manage production orders, and perform SAP-based quality checks in a safe, PPE-equipped environment. Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of related experience, familiarity with low/med voltage AC motors, and ability to read procedures while using basic shop tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 2–4 years related experience.
• Knowledge of low/med voltage AC motors preferred.
• Ability to read and follow written procedures.
• Ability to use hand and power tools in hands-on applications.
• Forklift operation experience preferred.
• Microsoft Office and SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Modify electric motors as per customer specification.
• Deliver finished product to designated shipping area
• Processing of completed production orders and quality inspection sheets in SAP daily.
• Support the Mod Shop Lead in projects to achieve on time delivery goals.
• Perform tasks in a safe environment while using all necessary PPE
• Complete daily equipment operation checklists
• Complete daily cleaning assignments
