Sunny Sky Products - Douglassville is a leading aseptic beverage manufacturer located in Douglassville, PA. We specialize in processing shelf-stable dairy, coffee beverages, and coffee creamers. Our company is rapidly growing and is seeking passionate people to join our team. We currently operate production 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The Shift Supervisor provides leadership and management in a food manufacturing environment. This key leadership position requires the ability to coach and direct other leaders and Production Associates while collaborating with internal and external resources and support functions to meet production requirements and exceed company goals.

We Are Currently Seeking For

Crew A - Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, every other Saturday, 3 AM - 3:30 PM

Objectives

Provides a safe work environment for all associates while maintaining continuous improvement of production operations, safety and quality metrics, service levels, and employee morale. Ensures the Quality Improvement Process and Team leadership are employed within areas of responsibility. Controls costs and assets managed within established goals. Provides timely, accurate, and consistent reports (safety, production, cost, human resources, administrative, etc.) for the area of responsibility that is plant-wide and covers all shift functions.

Day To Day Responsibilities
  1. Oversees all aspects of safety, quality, and production in the plant for an assigned shift
  2. Leads, directs, and executes on production, preventative maintenance, and housekeeping
  3. Manages self and others assertively with attention to detail and a sense of urgency
  4. Maintains a safe working environment and safety records. Drives a Safety Perfect Culture.
  5. Responsible for ensuring full compliance and execution of food safety and food quality programs
  6. Coordinates production schedules on their shift and collaborates with peers across all shifts
  7. Leads attainment of Key Performance Indicators, KPIs
  8. Communicates pertinent information to management
  9. Leads the execution and attainment of Manufacturing Excellence in regard to Safety, Quality, Productivity/Cost Performance, Service, Employee Morale, and Lean Manufacturing
  10. Coordinates training of associates
  11. Assists in selection, qualification, and evaluation of associates
  12. Conducts all duties required in the supervision of all day shift production employees
  13. Completes daily area inspections of plant floor operations
  14. Communicates progress on production goals to workforce regularly
  15. Ensures compliance with organization’s policies and procedures
  16. Is involved in specialty projects, as assigned
  17. Assesses work performance of associates to ensure expectations are met. Drives daily accountability
  18. Provides leadership and direction to department employees
  19. Identifies and analyzes problems, creates and implements solutions.
  20. Seeks to understand root causes and drives a culture of continuous improvement.
  21. Carries out supervisory responsibilities within organization policies
Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
  1. College degree or equivalent 5 years of experience in food and manufacturing environments
  2. Highly motivated self-starter with a positive attitude and the ability to handle multiple functions at one time in a fast-paced environment
  3. Proven leadership experience in a food manufacturing environment
  4. Team Player with demonstrated team leadership
  5. Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word
  6. Proficient in Lean Manufacturing preferred
  7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  8. Must be detail-oriented
  9. Overall knowledge of plant operations
  10. Metrics-driven with an ability to successfully operate autonomously
