Job summary

Chart Industries in Beasley, TX seeks a fabrication operations supervisor to lead daily activities, ensure safety and quality, and drive continuous improvement.

You will coordinate priorities, mentor staff, and work with engineering, quality, and operations to meet production targets in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; undergrad preferred.
  • 3–5+ years in fabrication/manufacturing with supervisory experience.
  • Ability to read drawings; knowledge of fabrication processes; lean/5S experience.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Office software skills required.

What Will You Do?

Summary: Responsible for leading daily operations of the fabrication department to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This role supervises shop personnel, establishes priorities, drives continuous improvement, and ensures alignment with production schedules and company performance targets.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Ensure products meet quality and engineering standards

  • Recommend improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste
  • Lead, coach, and develop team members
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and operations teams
Requirements
  • Ability to work independently

Working Conditions

Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and indoor/outdoor conditions.

Physical Requirements

Standing, walking, bending, lifting, climbing, and use of PPE including safety glasses, steel-toe boots, and hearing protection.

Your Experience Should Be

Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Undergrad preferred)

Experience: 3–5+ years in fabrication/manufacturing; with prior supervisory experience

Skills: Knowledge of fabrication processes, ability to read drawings, lean/5S experience, leadership and problem-solving skills

Computer skills: Office required
