Job summary

Northwood Space is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a team of integration technicians building and testing parabolic and phased-array antenna systems for satellite communications. You will drive production execution, ensure safety and quality, and partner with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to establish repeatable processes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in mechanical/electromechanical assembly in hardware manufacturing.
• 2+ years leading technicians or production teams.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specs.
• Proficiency with hand/power tools and metrology.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• Experience transitioning prototype to repeatable production.
• Familiarity with ERP/MES and digital work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day activities for integration technicians, assigning work based on production priorities, material availability, and team capacity to meet quality and delivery requirements.
• Provide hands-on guidance for mechanical and electromechanical assembly, precision alignment, structural integration, and verification of antenna systems.
• Hire, train, coach, and develop technicians, establishing clear expectations for workmanship, productivity, safety, and accountability.
• Partner with Engineering and Quality to troubleshoot build issues, resolve nonconformances, and translate prototype lessons into standardized work instructions and repeatable assembly processes.
• Track build progress, production output, and quality trends; communicate risks and coordinate with Supply Chain and production planning to resolve shortages and other blockers.
• Maintain safe, organized work areas and accurate build records, while coordinating technician support for domestic and international ground station installations and deployments.
