Job summary

Northwood Space in Torrance, CA is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a team of integration technicians building and testing parabolic and phased-array antenna systems for ground-based satellite communications. Qualifications

• 7+ years hands-on mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly experience in a hardware manufacturing environment.
• 2+ years leading technicians or production teams as a supervisor, team lead, or equivalent.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, assembly instructions, and technical specifications.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools, torque tools, fasteners, and precision measurement equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot assembly issues and coordinate with technical teams.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed to support hardware installation and integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day activities for integration technicians, assigning work based on production priorities and capacity to meet quality and delivery requirements.
• Provide hands-on guidance for mechanical and electromechanical assembly, precision alignment, and verification of antenna systems.
• Hire, train, coach, and develop technicians with clear expectations for workmanship, productivity, safety, and accountability.
• Partner with Engineering and Quality to troubleshoot build issues, resolve nonconformances, and translate prototype lessons into standardized work instructions.
• Track build progress, production output, and quality trends; coordinate with Supply Chain to resolve shortages and other blockers.
• Maintain safe, organized work areas and accurate build records, coordinating support for domestic and international deployments.
