Who We Want:

The Assembly Production Supervisor is the front line of leadership at the plant level. Their purpose is to oversee all operations within their area, ensuring that Safety, Quality, Delivery and production efficiencies meet the standards and expectation of internal and external customers. Our Supervisors are also morale builders and are responsible for creating a positive work environment for all employees.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage processes with detailed accuracy and discipline.
  • Coach and assist all employees with problem-solving and personal issues.
  • Train team members on various processes, procedures, and job tasks within their work zone.
  • Certify team members on individual workstations to satisfy each level of progression on the skills matrix.
  • Ensure quality standards are met.
  • Ensure on-time delivery is met according to customer demands and scheduling.
  • Pay close attention to detail regarding safety, housekeeping, quality, performance, instructions given by management, and employee well-being.
  • Report and investigate incidents, including root causes for injuries, near misses, and manufacturing equipment incidents (i.e. mis-hit, tool crash, etc.).
  • Monitor employee attendance and discipline accordingly in accordance with the employee handbook.
  • Monitor production quality and throughput, ensuring hour by hour boards, zone boards, and other production monitoring systems are updated.
  • Work with support groups to return processes to standard when abnormal conditions occur.
  • Manage operations in accordance with attendance.
  • Direct team leaders, material handlers, operators, and support groups on daily tasks.
  • Conduct toolbox talks daily to remind employees of all categories listed on the check sheet.
  • Follow company procedures for production identification & traceability, containment of nonconforming material, inventory movements, and production reporting.

When and Where: This will be a 3rd Shift / 9:30 PM - 5:30 AM M-F position located at our Plant in Spartanburg, SC. Occasionally, this may require you to arrive early, stay late, or work on weekends, outside of our regular hours, to ensure we successfully meet customer needs, deadlines, or urgent requests.

What You Need to Have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3+ years’ experience in a supervisory role.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
  • Automotive manufacturing industry experience preferred.
  • Must be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
