An established industry player seeks a dedicated Supervisor to lead hourly associates in the Spin and Melt production areas. This role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and quality, ensuring productivity levels and compliance with standards. The Supervisor will conduct daily meetings, manage staffing, and promote continuous improvement initiatives. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in leadership and manufacturing, with a focus on Lean principles and safety regulations. Supervise hourly associates in the Spin and Melt production areas to achieve customer service goals, productivity levels, safety requirements, product quality standards, and good housekeeping goals. Promote safety, teamwork, and quality in the work environment. Identify problems and develop plans to improve the use of materials, machinery, and employee resources.
Conduct daily shift meetings to inform employees about production levels, delivery performance, quality, overtime, and upcoming events. Track attendance, schedule vacations, and ensure compliance with the employee handbook. Provide leadership and discipline to enforce company rules and procedures.
Manage daily staffing and output to meet or exceed productivity targets. Motivate staff, provide clear directions, and set expectations for both new and existing personnel.
Ensure all personnel are trained, cross-trained, equipped, and held accountable. Coach team members on productivity, conduct, teamwork, and other areas to meet manufacturing objectives.
Manage production to meet schedules and specifications while minimizing customer concerns and scrap levels. Participate in problem-solving teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions for quality issues.
Participate in production planning, quality system development, training, and the implementation of new systems.
Ensure safety by using safety devices and PPE, reporting accidents or near misses within 24 hours, and attending safety training. Support corrective actions and safety initiatives.
Support continuous improvement initiatives, maintain 5S and TPM practices, and seek process improvements to enhance quality, productivity, delivery, safety, and costs. Apply Lean principles and participate in Manufacturing Excellence initiatives.

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Preferred: BA/BS or Associate’s degree in Business Management, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience and training.
Minimum of 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role. Preferred: 1-3 years supervisory experience, welding experience. Manufacturing and supervisory experience required, familiarity with quality systems, Lean manufacturing, OSHA, and safety regulations. Good computer skills, including Microsoft applications and project management.
