Job summary

Pures Food Specialties LLC is seeking a Packaging Supervisor to oversee all packaging lines under the shift supervisor. You will coordinate work procedures, schedules, and staffing while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

The role requires experience directing employees, operating and diagnosing equipment, and familiarity with FDA guidelines. Bilingual ability is preferred; strong communication with management is essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee packaging line operations under the supervisor to ensure efficiency.
• Coordinate work procedures, rotations, schedules, and attendance.
• Evaluate and participate in hiring/termination decisions.
• Ensure production activities are efficient and aligned with management.
• Enforce FDA and company safety, break and lunch policies.
• Address concerns per company policy and behavior standards.
• Track employee performance and administer disciplinary actions as needed.
• Train and coach operators to maintain high efficiency and minimal downtime.
• Coordinate with management to maximize production efficiency.
• Ensure packaging equipment remains in good operating condition.
• Set tasks to maintain a clean workplace and document downtime.
• Ensure adherence to quality guidelines for products.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain LOTO certification.
• Review quality control documents and assist with audits.
• Communicate daily with cross-functional shift activities to the operations team.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as required by management.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operations of all packaging lines under the supervisor of the shift supervisor.
• Supervises and coordinates activities such as work procedures, employee rotation, work schedules and attendance
• Evaluates and recommends employees for hire or termination
• Coordinates with management to assure production activities are as efficient as possible
• Enforce company safety, break & lunch policies
• Actively seek to resolve any concerns while adhering to the company policy and standards of behavior
• Tracks and communicates employee performance and provides disciplinary / corrective action as needed
• Train and coach other operators and line employees to maintain high efficiency with minimal down time
• Coordinates with management to assure production activities are as efficient as possible
• Ensure all packaging equipment is in operational condition
• Establish tasks for employees to ensure a clean workplace
• Document down time and lost efficiency
• Ensure quality guide lines for products are followed
• Enforce all FDA and company guidelines
• Assist with Continuous Improvement
• Maintain LOTO certification
• Review and assist with all quality control documents
• Ensure Food Safety of Production
• Communicates with all cross functional shift activities from other shifts to operations team on a daily basis
• Perform miscellaneous duties as required by management
