Job summary

Pures Food Specialties LLC in Melrose Park, IL, seeks a Packaging Supervisor to oversee all packaging lines under the shift supervisor, coordinate procedures and schedules, and drive efficient production while upholding safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work procedures, employee rotation, work schedules and attendance.
• Evaluate and recommend hires or terminations.
• Coordinate with management to maximize production efficiency.
• Enforce company safety, break and lunch policies.
• Resolve concerns per company policy and behavior standards.
• Track and communicate employee performance and take disciplinary action as needed.
• Train and coach operators to maintain high efficiency and minimal downtime.
• Ensure packaging equipment is operational and sustain a clean workplace.
• Document downtime and lost efficiency; ensure quality guidelines are followed.
• Enforce FDA and company guidelines; assist with Continuous Improvement.
• Maintain LOTO certification and review quality control documents.
• Ensure food safety of production; daily cross-functional communication with shifts.

Description:

• Supervises and coordinates activities such as work procedures, employee rotation, work schedules and attendance
• Evaluates and recommends employees for hire or termination
• Coordinates with management to assure production activities are as efficient as possible
• Enforce company safety, break & lunch policies
• Actively seek to resolve any concerns while adhering to the company policy and standards of behavior
• Tracks and communicates employee performance and provides disciplinary / corrective action as needed
• Train and coach other operators and line employees to maintain high efficiency with minimal down time
• Coordinates with management to assure production activities are as efficient as possible
• Ensure all packaging equipment is in operational condition
• Establish tasks for employees to ensure a clean workplace
• Document down time and lost efficiency
• Ensure quality guidelines for products are followed
• Enforce all FDA and company guidelines
• Assist with Continuous Improvement
