Job summary

Jobot in Harlan, IA is seeking a Production Supervisor for the 2nd shift at a growing food manufacturing partner known for private label and co-manufacturing. You will oversee hourly production staff, plan schedules, manage line changes, monitor yields and safety compliance, and drive continuous improvement.

Candidates should have 2+ years supervisory experience and 3–5 years manufacturing background. Strong communication and Excel skills are a plus; bilingual English/Spanish is desirable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years supervisory experience preferred.
• 3–5 years manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer proficiency with Outlook and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct hourly production line workers across the assigned shift.
• Plan, organize, and execute daily production schedules; manage line changeovers and downtime.
• Own daily production reporting, yield performance, and labor cost accountability.
• Ensure compliance with USDA, OSHA, HACCP, and internal quality control standards.
• Conduct pre-shift safety inspections of work areas.
• Process hourly payroll, vacation, and PTO; communicate scheduling needs to Operations Manager.
• Drive continuous improvement in throughput, methods, and working conditions.
• Maintain accurate digital/paper reporting and distribute to appropriate stakeholders.
