As a key member of the Operations team, the Production Supervisor is responsible for providing direction and leadership for production while motivating and developing the production staff through regular training and daily reinforcement of policies and procedures on the production floor. This role will manage, lead and direct the manufacturing processes and staff while maintaining safety and quality standards, key performance indicators, and facility conditions.

2nd - 2:30pm - 11pm
Primary Responsibilities
- Prioritize employee safety, food safety, and quality through training, coaching, and enforcement of GMPs, Gemba, 5S, and other management systems to ensure high-quality, safe products.
- Establish a safety culture by participating in safety activities, investigations, reports, toolbox talks, and safety training, implementing preventive measures.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and audit-ready work environment by educating staff on control points, equipment, policies, and corrective actions for non-compliance.
- Monitor employee performance, provide feedback, coaching, development plans, and maintain records related to seniority, points, PTO, and training.
- Maintain workflow efficiency by monitoring processes, setting variables, observing control points, studying methods, and implementing cost reductions.
- Coordinate between departments such as quality, R&D, warehouse, maintenance, and production.
- Report daily KPIs in meetings and scorecards.
- Create and update work instructions and SOPs, analyzing operating practices and managing change.
- Monitor team productivity, provide coaching, manage onboarding, training, and certification.
- Manage inventory, plan layout considering item characteristics, and maintain FIFO and inventory controls using ERP systems.
- Ensure materials are in stock by monitoring inventory weekly.
- Manage budgeted costs including labor, supplies, and raw materials within software and ERP systems.
- Resolve quality issues, mechanical breakdowns, and safety incidents by leading root cause analysis and problem-solving efforts.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S, visual management, and LEAN projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in production or manufacturing.
- Experience in inventory control and knowledge of lean six sigma.
- Strong leadership skills and excellent communication.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
- Knowledge of ERP systems, especially SAP, and proficiency in MS Office.
- Ability to delegate effectively and work collaboratively.
- Passion for engaging with people at all levels.
- Knowledge of GMP and food manufacturing standards.
- Flexibility to work the assigned shift.
- Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs., and perform other physical activities as described.
- Exposure to environmental conditions such as noise, temperature extremes, dust, and machinery.
