Summary Description

This position works with the 2nd Shift Superintendent to ensure that quality, safety, and production goals are met daily. The person will direct production team members to ensure efficiency, timeliness, and quality standards are achieved or exceeded.

Essential Functions

1. Oversee all 2nd shift production team members at both foundry locations, ensuring engagement, productivity, and goal achievement.
2. Provide positive reinforcement, constructive feedback, and discipline to develop employees and maintain respect on the floor.
3. Conduct annual performance appraisals for direct reports.
4. Promote and ensure a safe work environment, emphasizing safety in all activities.
5. Train new employees on production/shop floor tasks and provide refresher training as needed, utilizing written training documents for consistency.
6. Develop production plans optimizing equipment and personnel use to meet company goals.
7. Ensure quality standards are maintained at each process point and for every part.
8. Develop and implement equipment care plans, monitor performance, and coordinate with maintenance for repairs or improvements.
9. Lead daily/weekly employee shift meetings.
10. Implement continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor.
11. Perform other job-related tasks as assigned.
