Summary

Perdue Farms is hiring a Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift for our RTE team in Concord, NC. This role involves supervising production associates daily to meet production and quality standards safely and efficiently, while fostering positive relationships within the team. Typical hours are Monday - Friday, 4:00pm - 1:00am.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Train, direct, and develop staff to meet operational, safety, and quality standards.
• Supervise production to ensure product quality and customer requirements are met or exceeded.
• Create an environment conducive to employee retention.
• Administer company policies and procedures consistently.
• Support company goals related to people, products, profitability, and sustainability through planning, communication, coaching, and training.
• Implement improvements to enhance production efficiency, safety, and quality scores.

Minimum Education

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Poultry Science, Animal Science, Agriculture, or related field.

Experience Requirements

• 0-3 years of work experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with industry procedures like HACCP, SPC, and plant efficiency metrics.
• Proven leadership and results-oriented skills.
• Ability to organize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Prior supervisory experience.
• Strong customer orientation and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel for company business.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

• Ability to move equipment or supplies as needed.
• Access to files, supplies, and equipment.
• Work environment involves exposure to moisture, temperature variations, noise, and chemicals typical of poultry processing facilities. Protective gear is required.
