Role Purpose/Position Summary:

As a Production Supervisor, you are responsible for overseeing production, tracking product yields, and making necessary adjustments. Ensuring safety and USDA health standards are met throughout all steps of the manufacturing process. Provide direction to production associates in safety, service, performance, quality, and leadership. Responsible for maintaining and enhancing customer relationships, plant assets, and fostering a positive employment atmosphere.

Key Accountabilities / Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and direction to plant production associates in safety, machine operation, sanitation, quality, customer service, and maintenance.
• Adhere to productivity metrics to optimize profitability, including crew size, operational efficiency, and scrap loss.
• Understand customer expectations for accuracy, quality, and timeliness, and develop methods to meet or exceed them.
• Train staff and enforce company policies.
• Communicate company philosophy, policies, and expectations clearly to all hourly personnel.
• Assist in establishing plant budgets, goals, and standards.
• Develop production team members through performance management processes.
• Monitor production performance and implement action plans for improvements.
• Create a positive work environment supporting continuous improvement and respect for all associates.
• This position has responsibility for Food Safety and Quality within their influence. The associate must report Food Safety and Quality issues promptly.

Qualifications / Capability Profile:

Minimum Education:

• High school diploma or GED, or 2+ years related experience in production
• Bachelor's degree - Preferred

Minimum Experience:

• Food manufacturing experience - Preferred
• Customer interaction experience - Preferred
• Management experience - Preferred
