Job Description Summary

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for frontline and/or shift management and defined work or projects with moderate complexity. In this role, you will follow an individual work plan, meet day-to-day objectives, and resolve issues through immediate action and both short- and long-term planning.

Job Description
  • Provide manufacturing/technical assistance and leadership to the assigned work group.
  • Manage production employees and schedule requirements, including timekeeping, overtime, time off, and discipline.
  • Support and meet production schedules, drive productivity and quality initiatives, and manage the area within budget guidelines and controls.
  • Utilize data analysis to improve safety, reduce quality defects, and increase productivity.
  • Communicate and enforce handbook and other plant policies.
  • Interface with internal and external customers, define priorities for shift and work group, leveraging production meetings and shift change meetings as needed.
  • Participate in Environment, Health, and Safety initiatives and corrective actions.
  • Participate actively in cross-functional teams and demonstrate leadership and coaching skills to team members.
  • Train and develop production employees; educate them on business strategy and metrics.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college, OR Associate’s Degree with at least 2 years of manufacturing experience, OR a High School Diploma / GED with at least 4 years of manufacturing experience, OR 4 years of military experience, plus 3 additional years of manufacturing experience.
Desired Characteristics
  • Experience in manufacturing, quality, sourcing, or operations management.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and serve as a positive change agent.
  • Experience working in a CNC machine shop.
  • Experience managing New Product Introduction (NPI) in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and willingness to learn as a technical expert.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize deadlines.
  • Six Sigma training / Lean (GE employees only).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Interpersonal and leadership skills.

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Final offers will be contingent on the ability to obtain authorization for access from the U.S. Government, especially for non-U.S. persons.
