Position Description

The Production Supervisor ensures a safe working environment and oversees the wiring, testing, painting, and shipping processes. Key responsibilities include analyzing assembly and wiring prints, collaborating with engineering to update designs, and supervising electrical work, testing operations, painting tasks, and shipping activities. The role also involves planning and coordinating workflow, training and guiding staff, evaluating performance, and performing root cause analysis to address quality and safety issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensures a safe working environment, follows company and OSHA safety guidelines.
• Supervise the wiring, testing, painting and shipping process.
• Analyze assembly prints and assigns work.
• Analyze wiring prints and assigns work.
• Work closely with engineering to update and revise wiring designs and wiring practices to ensure all units are built to customer specifications.
• Electrical work includes electrical controls, sensors, instrumentation, motors, and conduit runs.
• Testing work includes operating the fully wired/assembled units according to the sequence of operations.
• Painting work includes cleaning, sanding, taping off openings and painting of units using epoxy paint.
• Shipping work includes finish cleaning, labelling, kit building, final quality checks, and loading trucks.
• Plan and coordinate workflow.
• Direct supervision of electrical lead, paint lead, shipping lead and hourly workers.
• Train, promote, and guide hourly workers.
• Evaluate work performance and work behavior.
• Monitors the quality of the wiring, testing, painting, and shipping of the units.
• Performs Root cause analysis solving problems to avoid repeat quality or safety issues.
  
  

Required Education & Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Associates or bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
• Experience in the HVAC industry preferred.
• Strong multitasking and interpersonal skills.
