Job summary

Siemens Industry in Grand Prairie, TX is seeking a 1st Shift Production Supervisor to lead daily production, coordinate schedules, ensure safety, and drive continuous improvement on the line. You will oversee assembly staff and interface with management, engineering, quality, purchasing and planning to maintain smooth operations.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, a Bachelor’s or an associate’s with 5 years of relevant experience, and strong mechanical

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production processes and act as the information hub among hourly staff, management, engineering, quality, purchasing and planning.
• Improve safety, reduce production errors, improve quality and increase efficiency.
• Manage production schedules, assign personnel, supervise progress, coordinate training and drive continuous improvement projects.
• Maintain union relations following the collective bargaining agreement.
• Support digitalization through tools like Digital Work Instructions, Operator Displays and dashboards.

Siemens Industry is looking for a 1 st Shift Production Supervisor for our Grand Prairie, TX factory located in the heart of the DFW Metroplex.

You’llmake an impact by:

• Being the key driver of all daily production related processes and the hub of information transfer between the hourly assembly workforce, management, engineering, quality control, purchasing and planning.
• Improve safety for all personnel the work in and around production line while drive efforts and initiatives to reduce production errors, improve product quality, and increase efficiency.
• Handle production schedule, assign personnel to work areas, supervise progress, coordinate and document training of personnel, drive continuous improvement projects, and conduct annual employee performance evaluations.
• Maintain working relationship with local union by following the collective bargaining agreement.
• Support digitalization efforts to implement tools such as Digital Work Instructions, Operator Displays, Performance/Status Dashboards, and other connected tools.

Basic Qualifications:

• 2+ years of successful experience in an Assembly/Manufacturing or related field in a supervisor role.
• Bachelor’s degree required or associate’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience
• Mechanical Proficiency with experience using hand tools.
• Proficient in Microsoft office products
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• Lean Manufacturing techniques.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
• Project Management experience; strong leadership and time management skills, understanding of management approaches for work direction, motivation, talent development and performance management.

The pay range for this position is $67,544 - $115,790 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
