Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in SCM, Logistics, or related field.
  • 10+ years in warehouse management, logistics, or similar role in manufacturing.
  • Expert knowledge of warehouse operations, material handling and transport logistics.
  • Proficient in WMS and ERP software.
  • Experience with import/export compliance.
  • Lean/Six Sigma experience and process improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, storage, inventory and order fulfillment.
  • Implement KPIs to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure safety, quality, and environmental standards in material handling.

The Warehouse and Logistics Manager will play a crucial role in managing the entire spectrum of warehouse operations and logistics processes at our Siemens Low Voltage Electrical Distribution Equipment Manufacturing facility in Grand Prairie, TX. This role encompasses the full lifecycle of material management—from the receipt and storage of raw materials and incoming components to their distribution throughout the plant for production, and ultimately, the shipment of completed equipment to customers. The successful candidate will ensure that all warehouse activities, internal material flows, and outbound logistics are executed safely, efficiently and accurately, while optimizing material handling processes and leading continuous improvement initiatives improving the overall productivity and success of the facility.

Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:
  • Ensure that all warehouse and logistics operations adhere to Siemens' safety standards and local regulations.
  • Promote a safe working environment by conducting regular safety inspections, training staff, and enforcing safety protocols.
  • Manage environmental compliance related to material handling, storage, and transportation activities.
Team Leadership and Development:
  • Manage the warehouse and logistics organization, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement where employees feel valued and motivated to contribute to the team's success.
  • Develop clear roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations for all team members, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify opportunities for training and development.
Warehouse Operations Management:
  • Oversee all day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
  • Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and drive operational excellence.
  • Ensure the accurate and efficient handling of materials and products, maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
  • Develop and implement warehouse policies and procedures to optimize space utilization, reduce waste, and improve efficiency.
Internal Logistics and Material Handling:
  • Manage the internal flow of materials from the warehouse to various production areas, including raw materials, internal fabrication, and assembly processes.
  • Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and components, minimizing downtime and production delays.
Transportation and Shipment Coordination:
  • Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of incoming and outgoing shipments, including domestic and international transportation.
  • Manage relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of goods.
  • Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations, including import/export requirements and customs documentation.
  • Work closely with customs brokers and regulatory agencies to facilitate smooth cross-border transactions.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in warehouse management, logistics, or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Expert knowledge of warehouse operations, material handling systems, and transportation logistics.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
  • Experience with import/export compliance and regulations.
  • Proven track record of leading continuous improvement initiatives and implementing Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., APICS, CSCMP) or related fields.
  • Experience in the electrical distribution equipment or related manufacturing industry.
  • Familiarity with Siemens’ logistics and manufacturing processes.

The pay range for this position is $135,303 - $231,948 annually with a target incentive of 15% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
