Job summary

Bridgestone is seeking a Manufacturing Production supervisor to manage assembly, forming, processing and packaging activities. You will plan, direct, and monitor production against specifications, schedules, cost and quality goals while liaising with Manufacturing Engineering, Supply & Logistics, and Sales to align resources.

You will lead a team, set daily objectives, provide guidance, and support career development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervises support roles, conducts performance reviews and training.
• Sets day-to-day objectives, organizes workflow, and supports team goals.
• Leverages prior experience to solve issues using guidelines, and recommends policy changes within procedures.
• Works closely with the specialization manager and rendering updates to management.

Position Summary

Manufacturing Production manages or assists with managing various production activities (e.g., assembly, material forming/shaping, processing, treating, or packaging, etc.) including:

• Planning, directing, and monitoring production to meet established specifications, schedules, volume / cost / wastage targets, and quality standards


• Liaising with Manufacturing Engineering, Supply & Logistics, Sales, etc. as input to developing production schedules and allocating labor/capital resources


• Planning, prioritizing, and managing production line maintenance / downtime to minimize disruptions

Responsibilities

• Supervises support roles with responsibility for performance review/management and training


• Sets day-to-day objectives, organizes workflow, provides guidance, and supports achievement of goals for team


• Leverages prior experience to solve issues using latitude of existing guidelines, also recommending changes within specialization policies/procedures


• Works closely with specialization manager


• Communicates regularly with management and infrequently with executive leadership


• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience; OR 3+ years of relevant experience
