Job summary

Calumet Specialty Products Partners L.P. in Shreveport, LA is seeking a Production Shift Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations, ensure safety and environmental compliance, and drive efficient output across the shift.

You will supervise production employees, plan and monitor schedules, coordinate training for new hires, manage work orders, and maintain housekeeping and PPE standards, while partnering with other departments to meet performance goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in a related field and 5+ years' supervisory experience in a manufacturing/distribution environment.
• Ability to work any shift and stand for long periods.
• Proficient with MS Office and SAP.
• Regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds.

PURPOSE:

The Production Shift Supervisor oversees all aspects of production, is responsible for the organization and planning in the assigned area, provides guidance, execution strategy where necessary, and direct supervision to the shift organization.

KEY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance management, review and execute area audits
• Oversee production employees' performance and development
• Plan, direct, and monitor the work of shift operations for optimum output and efficiencies
• Maintain housekeeping standards/assignments
• Maintain area operating procedures ensuring all safety standards and personal protective equipment requirements are met by employees
• Communicate daily operations and plan strategies to all employees, departments, and supervisors
• Administer and coordinate all "job specific" training for new hires and handle daily personnel issues
• Manage work order prioritization processes and ensure production schedule adherence
• Maintain expertise and act as first responder to critical production issues
• Additional duties as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES:

• Bachelor degree in related field and 5+ years' supervisory experience in a manufacturing/distribution environment OR equivalent combination of education and work experience
• Must be able to work any shift
• Proficient with MS Office and SAP
• Required to stand, walk and sit; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms. Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up-to 50 pounds.
