Job summary

Calumet Specialty Products Partners is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee all aspects of production, plan and direct shift activities, and drive safety and efficiency across the area.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (engineering preferred), 5+ years in refining or chemical processing, and leadership experience. Proficiency with JDE/SAP and Microsoft Office is expected, with the ability to work any shift.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee health, safety, and environmental compliance for shifts and ensure optimum output and efficiency.
• Maintain housekeeping standards and assign responsibilities.
• Enforce area operating procedures and PPE requirements for all employees.
• Communicate daily operations and plan strategies to staff and supervisors.
• Coordinate job-specific training for new hires and resolve daily personnel issues.
• Manage work order prioritization and target 90% completion.
• Serve as first responder to critical production issues and implement corrective actions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Purpose

The Production Supervisor oversees all aspects of production, is responsible for the organization and planning in the assigned area, provides guidance, execution strategy where necessary, and direct supervision to all shifts.

Key Objectives and Responsibilities

• Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance management, review and execute Plans, directs, and monitors the work of shift operations for optimum output and efficiencies
• Maintain housekeeping standards/assignments
• Maintain area operating procedures ensuring all safety standards and personal protective equipment requirements are met by employees
• Communicate daily operations and plan strategies to all employees, departments, and supervisors
• Administer and coordinate all ”job specific” training for new hires and handle daily personnel issues
• Manage work order prioritization processes and ensure 90% completion is met
• Maintain expertise and act as first responder to critical production issues
• Additional duties as assigned

Required Education / Experiences

• Bachelor's degree (preferably engineering) highly desired; will consider high diploma or GED combined with 5 or more years relevant experience in production in a refining or chemical processing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and JDE/SAP systems
• Prior leadership skills
• Must be able to work any shift
• Lean Manufacturing experience preferred
