The ideal candidate has a STEM degree and 3–5 years of supervisory experience, with ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings and lead a team of hourly employees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Math, Computer Science, Engineering, or other STEM discipline.
• 3–5 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a union environment.
• Experience reading electrical schematics and mechanical/assembly drawings is essential.
• Ideal candidate will have mechanical and electrical or electronic experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production processes and a safe, compliant workplace.
• Promote ISO 9001 quality program and troubleshoot issues.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance and schedule shifts.
• Develop work schedules and document shift production.
• Improve efficiency through training and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Direct hourly employees and maintain safety training programs.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing and Engineering to resolve design challenges.

Spang Power Electronics, a division of Spang & Company, has an opening for a Production Supervisor based in Sandy Lake, PA. This position will be responsible for maintaining departmental manufacturing operations with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• overseeing production processes
• promoting a safe and compliant workplace
• supporting the Company’s ISO 9001 quality program
• troubleshoot production issues
• partner with Manufacturing and Engineering to resolve design-related challenges
• coordinate equipment maintenance and repairs
• develop work schedules
• record shift production
• contribute to planning and project initiatives
• identifying opportunities to reduce manufacturing costs
• improving efficiency through employee training
• direct hourly employees
• coordinate, document, and maintain job safety and training programs
• ensure adherence to standard work practices
• foster strong employee relations and communication
• coach, counsel, and evaluate employees to support performance and attendance

Qualifications
