Job summary

Cedrela Talent is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations, ensuring safety, quality, productivity and on-time delivery. You will supervise production teams, coordinate resources, and drive continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree and 5–7 years of supervisory manufacturing experience, strong knowledge of lean and quality systems, and excellent communication in English and Spanish.

Qualifications

Job description

The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading daily manufacturing operations to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and delivery objectives are consistently achieved. This role oversees production teams, coordinates resources, and drives continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining operational efficiency and compliance with established standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to ensure schedules, quality standards, and operational targets are met.
  • Lead and develop production personnel by providing coaching, training, performance feedback, and support to foster a high-performing team environment.
  • Monitor production processes, equipment utilization, material flow, and workforce allocation to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve operational, quality, and material-related issues while implementing effective corrective actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives through lean manufacturing principles, process optimization, waste reduction, and productivity enhancement efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, operational procedures, workplace safety requirements, and company policies.
  • Analyze performance metrics and operational data to identify opportunities for improvement and support business objectives.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, engagement, and continuous learning across the operation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of supervisory experience within a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, production planning, quality systems, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience leading teams and managing operational performance in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in business applications and reporting tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
  • Exposure to quality management systems, process improvement methodologies, and lean manufacturing principles is highly desirable.
