Job summary

Atlas Copco Holding GmbH is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a team of 20+ assemblers on the shop floor and act as the liaison with the Planning & Scheduling Department. The role emphasizes coaching, training, and developing flexible, multi-skilled personnel to enhance production flow and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities include conducting daily meetings, overseeing start-up briefings, coaching staff, and driving 5S and process audits to improve efficiency and quality.

This position provides supervision and oversight for 20+ employees within the Production Team.

Your role

Duties and Responsibilities

The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for ensuring efficient product flow to meet or exceed customer demand while maintaining a safe and ergonomic work environment. Key performance measures include safety, on-time delivery, quality, efficiency, and utilization.

The Production Supervisor serves in a leadership role and acts as the liaison between production employees and Flow Team Coaches to ensure effective planning, scheduling, and plant operations.

Principal Responsibilities
  • The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for ensuring efficient product flow to meet or exceed customer demand while maintaining a safe, ergonomic work environment. Key performance measures include safety, on-time delivery, quality, efficiency, and utilization.
  • The Production Supervisor serves in a leadership role and acts as the Liaison between the production employees and the Flow Team Coaches to ensure planning, scheduling, and overall plant production results in efficient operation, and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Principle responsibilities:
  • Supervise and direct all aspects of assigned production lines to ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery requirements are met.
  • Participate in daily morning meetings with flow team to review operational priorities, performance metrics, staffing requirements, and production goals.
  • Conduct daily start-up meetings with production employees to communicate work assignments, production schedules, safety topics, and operational expectations.
  • Supervise personnel and production workflow to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • Foster and maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment, ensuring compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and measure employee performance, providing coaching, feedback, and support to promote continuous improvement.
  • Track and record employee attendance, work hours, and timekeeping accurately daily.
  • Investigate, analyze, and resolve inventory discrepancies to maintain accurate inventory records and support uninterrupted production.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Maintenance, Materials, and Engineering to resolve operational issues.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and manufacturing standards.

Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex manufacturing or production operations.
  • Practical knowledge of manufacturing processes, production systems, and products.
  • Experience leading, coaching, and motivating teams to achieve operational goals.
  • Ability to resolve routine team and operational issues while applying company policies and procedures; escape complex issues as needed.
  • Lean Manufacturing or Lean Management experience, including continuous improvement and waste reduction methodologies.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in production reporting, attendance tracking, and performance management.

Physical Requirements
