Job summary

3D Systems, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Manager to lead Production and Warehouse teams in Rock Hill, SC.

The role focuses on safely manufacturing high-quality products, meeting customer requirements, and delivering operational excellence across scheduling, inventory, and shipping. You will collaborate with Planning, Engineering, Quality, Procurement, and NPI to support readiness, implement changes, and drive improvements.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, SixSigma, ERP/MRP systems, ISO9001 quality standards, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience leading production and warehouse teams in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability to manage production schedules, inventory, and material flow.

Responsibilities

  • Lead production and warehouse operations to meet quality, delivery, cost, and productivity targets.
  • Coordinate with Planning, Engineering, Quality, Procurement, and NPI teams for readiness and changes.
  • Develop supervisors and staff, fostering accountability and operational excellence.
  • Execute production schedules balancing labor, equipment, and materials to meet demand.
  • Oversee receiving, inventory control, material movement, shipping, and logistics.

About the Role: The Manufacturing Operations Manager is responsible for leading Production and Warehouse operations to safely manufacture and deliver high-quality products that meet customer requirements for quality, delivery, cost, and productivity. This position provides strategic and day-to-day leadership for production supervisors, warehouse personnel, and manufacturing employees while ensuring efficient execution of production schedules, inventory management, material flow, and shipping operations. The Manufacturing Operations Manager partners closely with Planning, Engineering, Quality, Procurement and New Product Introduction (NPI) teams to support manufacturing readiness, implement engineering changes, resolve operational issues, and drive continuous improvement. This role is accountable for building a high-performing organization through employee development, operational discipline, Lean Manufacturing principles, and a culture focused on safety, accountability, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction.

  • Utilizeoperationalmetricstodrivesustainableimprovementsandenhancecustomersatisfaction.
  • Recruit,develop,coach,andretainahigh-performingmanufacturingworkforce.
  • Conductperformancereviews,providefeedback,andsupportemployeedevelopmentandsuccessionplanning.
  • PartnerwithHRonworkforceplanning,hiring,onboarding,andemployeerelations.
  • Managelabor,overtime,andoperatingbudgetswhilemonitoringkeyperformanceindicators.

  • Education: Bachelor'sdegreeinOperationsManagement,Business,Manufacturing,orarelatedfieldpreferred;equivalentmanufacturingleadershipexperiencewillbeconsidered.
