Job summary

Extension, Inc is seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead daily production operations in our fast-paced food manufacturing environment. You will oversee production teams, ensure safety and food quality standards are met, and drive performance across assigned lines.

This role is floor-focused and highly visible; you will own your area, mentor operators, address issues to keep production running safely, efficiently, and on schedule, and collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, and Supply

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production activities to meet schedules safely and on time.
• Lead, coach, and develop production employees to achieve performance and quality.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP and food safety requirements.
• Monitor production performance, downtime, yields and material usage.
• Identify and address production issues quickly to minimize downtime.
• Partner with Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain and other departments to resolve issues and improve flow.
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and efficient production environment.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, waste reduction).
• Manage employee scheduling, timekeeping, attendance, and performance.
• Conduct routine floor checks and equipment inspections for proper operation and standards.
• Hold team members accountable for safety, attendance, quality, productivity and performance.

This position will oversee production teams, ensure safety and food quality standards are consistently met, and drive performance across assigned production lines.

This is a highly visible, floor-focused leadership role. The ideal candidate will take ownership of their area, lead by example, develop their team, and proactively address issues to keep production running safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production activities to ensure schedules are met safely, efficiently, and on time.
• Lead, coach, and develop production employees to achieve performance, quality, and productivity expectations.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, food safety requirements, and company policies.
• Monitor production performance, downtime, yields, and material usage.
• Identify and address production issues quickly to minimize downtime and disruptions.
• Partner with Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and other departments to resolve issues and improve production flow.
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and efficient production environment.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean manufacturing, 5S, waste reduction, and process improvements.
• Manage employee scheduling, timekeeping, attendance, and performance.
• Conduct routine floor checks and equipment inspections to ensure proper operation and adherence to standards.
