Join our team in Palatka, FL, as a Production Supervisor, where you’ll lead a crew in a fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment focused on safety, quality, and performance. You’ll oversee daily operations, drive compliance with standard work, and coach team members for continuous improvement. Ideal candidates bring strong leadership skills and experience in gypsum wallboard manufacturing. Responsibilities:

  • Active participation and support of plant safety and environmental
  • Safe production meeting legal and environmental requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with Standard Work
  • Problem solve through root cause analysis
  • Confer with plant personnel to maintain production and quality control standards as well as budget and cost controls.
  • Report at the end of each shift on the types, quantities, specifications, and other key data on products produced during the shift.
  • Consult with maintenance personnel relative to troubleshooting and maintenance of machines and equipment to achieve production and quality goals daily.
  • Resolve employee concerns/complaints and refer unresolved issues for further investigation and resolution.
  • Ensure performance evaluations and operator training development plans are completed for employees.
  • Ensure new employees are properly onboarded.
  • Make certain employees maintain the necessary skills and knowledge to safely and competently perform their jobs.
  • Priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and cost factors.
  • Ensures consistent and fair application of plant policies, as defined by the employee handbook, throughout the department.
  • Communicates effectively with other Supervisors and employees to ensure clear and precise directions on plant goals, plans, and future expectations for department growth.
  • Coach and develop direct reports by having routine performance conversations.
  • Ability to hold direct reports accountable for safety, quality, housekeeping, and performance.
  • Responsible for time, attendance, and vacation recordkeeping.
  • Ability to develop standards and procedures to drive performance
Is this job for you ?
  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred). Excellent planning, organization, leadership, presentation, decision making, analytical, oral and written communication skills are required.
  • Five years of supervisory experience in a continuous-operation industrial environment
  • Five years of gypsum wallboard manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of the gypsum processing industry is a plus.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours to support 24-7 operations
  • 10% Travel.
