Job summary

JBS USA is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee assigned production lines and direct supervision of line workers. You will ensure daily production execution, quality control, and proper safety practices while coordinating with maintenance and QA teams.

The role requires strong leadership, English proficiency, and the ability to train staff. You will manage attendance, scheduling, and daily paperwork in a fast-paced food processing environment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent certification.
  • Considerable knowledge of production processes and work requirements.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
  • Experience with databases and applications is helpful.
  • Ability to manage purchasing, transportation, inventory, and contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and supervise all aspects of assigned production line(s).
  • Responsible for production quality.
  • Ensure tools and supplies needed to get the job done are available.
  • Ensure equipment being taken apart is done safely and properly and stored.
  • Notify maintenance when maintenance is required.
  • Oversee the integrity of finished product (quality, weights, labeling, etc.).
  • Notify Plant Manager when issues arise.
  • Ensure correct lot numbers for raw materials are used consistently.
  • Coordinate production communication flow among line workers.
  • Supervise line employees in setting up and executing daily activities.
  • Train new employees on assigned duties.
  • Manage attendance and reallocate personnel as needed.
  • Verify attendance on Master Schedule.
  • Communicate problems to QA Manager, Maintenance Manager and Plant Manager.
  • Transfer hours on Master Schedule as needed.
  • Discipline and reward employees appropriately.
  • Assist in production scheduling.
  • Troubleshoot line issues and coordinate with Production Maintenance Manager.
  • Monitor packaging quality and palletizing processes.
  • Transfer finished product from floor to storage.
  • Maintain sanitation of work areas.
  • Enforce safety rules and GMP compliance.
  • Coordinate breaks and monitor cleanliness of plant areas.
  • Know job requirements for all positions on lines.
  • Complete required daily paperwork.

  • Wage Scale $80,168.40-$85,000
