Job summary

WestRock Coffee in North Carolina is seeking a Production Supervisor to direct and coach production operators across multiple packaging lines, ensuring daily/weekly schedules are met while safety, quality and waste reduction are prioritized.

The role requires five years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, an associates degree (or BA/BS preferred), strong math and analytical skills, and proficiency with Word/Excel/Outlook and AS400; effective leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Five years supervisory experience in production environment.
• BA/BS preferred. Associates degree (A.A) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to train on any shift and work any shift as business needs dictate.
• Demonstrated professionalism, good work ethic and leadership skills.
• Sound math and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage and motivate personnel.
• Strong initiative, ability to anticipate issues proactively.
• Intermediate computer skills to include Word, Excel, Outlook and AS400.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coach production operators in the execution of daily/weekly production schedule for multiple packaging lines.
• Efficiently meet and exceed production goals while maintaining safety, quality and productivity while minimizing waste.
• Collaborate with the other departments for all production needs.
• Review, interpret and analyze production data to determine if adjustments must be made.
• Partner with Human Resources in the recruitment, hiring and training of personnel and other employee relations issues.
• Encourage teamwork, and build morale among staff.
• Provide strong leadership to staff in regards to professionalism, courtesy, adhering to policy.
• May conduct period end inventory and routine raw material inventory.
• Enforce and maintain SOP's, GMP's, and Safety guidelines.
• Maintain time and attendance records and track performance for operators.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
