Responsibilities

• Responsible for overseeing business operations in a food manufacturing environment, ensuring safety and quality standards are met
• Delegating tasks to team members and resolving issues that arise during their shift
• Managing inventory and coordinating employee responsibilities to enhance efficiency
• Assign team members tasks to complete each shift, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards
• Set performance metrics for team members and collaborate to ensure all metrics are met
• Resolve problems and troubleshoot issues promptly, prioritizing safety and quality without the need for management direction
• Report to the Production Manager and meet with management to review goals, metrics, and safety and quality performance
• Maintain a work environment that meets company, state, and federal safety and employment guidelines
• Ensure all team members follow safety protocols and quality control measures
• Oversee timekeeping, attendance tracking, and payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
• Foster employee development through training and mentorship programs

Requirements

• HS Diploma and GED with Minimum of 5 years of directly related manufacturing experience; Engineering Degree would be a plus
• Complete understanding of food processing
• Experience Developing SOP’s and work instructions
• Strong leadership skills, with at least 3-5 years of experience in a leadership/influencer role
• Demonstrated project management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to work independently and with teams
• Knowledge of environmental, code and safety regulations on the Federal, State, and local levels
