Responsibilities

As a Permanent Production Supervisor, your duties will include but are not limited to:

• Overseeing the daily operations of manufacturing and related areas to ensure that volume, cost, and quality standards are achieved.
• Coordinating the activities of the production team by delegating tasks, assigning shift assignments, and monitoring performance.
• Implementing and maintaining lean manufacturing principles to minimize inventory, maximize throughput, and optimize facility utilization.
• Training, developing, and managing team members, fostering a positive and motivating work environment.
• Ensuring all safety and compliance standards are met, maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient operation.
• Collaborating with other departments to identify efficiencies and manage the implementation of process improvement initiatives.
• Resolving personnel problems, complaints, or formal grievances when possible, or referring them to higher-level supervisors or managers for resolution.
• Conducting regular meetings with the team to ensure open communication and to provide updates on ongoing projects and tasks.
• Monitoring the production process, making routine process checks, and troubleshooting process issues and equipment failures to correct malfunctions and ensure maximum uptime.

Qualifications

To be considered for the Permanent Production Supervisor position, you should possess the following qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within the manufacturing industry.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and manage team members.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in at least two languages.
• Thorough understanding of safety and compliance standards in the manufacturing industry.
• Proven experience in implementing and maintaining lean manufacturing principles.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and make decisions under pressure.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Spanish Bilingual is a big plus.
