Georgia-Pacific is hiring a Production Supervisor at our Huntsville, AL Facility. The Supervisor will utilize leadership, operations experience, and communication to identify and convert change improvement opportunities related to people, processes, and systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate safety as a value and lead a crew of employees to exceed production expectations for the shift.

This role is a 2nd shift (3p-11p) position, with the potential to work other shifts as needed (e.g., vacation, sick days).

What You Will Do

• Drive safety excellence by promoting employee involvement, ownership, and accountability; identify hazards and implement mitigation strategies; investigate incidents.
• Coach, train, and develop operations personnel in safety, quality, and production.
• Ensure best practices to minimize waste at machine centers.
• Own the production process, ensuring accountability and collaboration with Production, Quality, Shipping, and Maintenance teams.
• Provide leadership and support across all facility functions.
• Engage in continuous improvement activities leveraging Georgia-Pacific's capability groups.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Experience supervising employees in manufacturing, production, industrial, or military environments.
• Experience managing print, corrugated/converting, or packaging production operations.
• Ability to work 2nd shift (3p-11p) or other shifts as needed.
• Legal authorization to work permanently in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.

What Will Put You Ahead

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Experience with ERP systems.
