This Role:
Our team is currently seeking a people and process-oriented Production Supervisor for our Huntsville, AL facility. This would be a day shift role reporting to our Production Manager.
What You Will Do:
The Production Supervisor ensures that production timeframes are met through smooth, efficient, and safe production operations. In this effort, the Production Supervisor oversees all aspects of the production floor, including staff, schedules, equipment, and processes.
How You Will Do It:
- Core Accountabilities
- Plan, direct, and coordinate all aspects of production and packaging.
- Control WIP inventories.
- Supervise, direct, train, and provide leadership for employees in the production department.
- Establish and audit safety, health, and environmental programs.
- Ensure compliance with company policy and all health, HR, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Establish work procedures in coordination with Engineering and Quality departments.
- Approve employee timesheets.
- Interpret instructions, specifications, or job orders to employees.
- Ensure product is built to engineered specifications.
- Monitor production output and quality data.
- Analyze and resolve work-related problems and assist workers in resolving work-related issues.
- Make data-driven decisions and use root cause analysis to resolve issues.
- Supervise employees engaged in various production activities to meet customer-requested specifications, ensuring quality production at minimal cost in a safe work environment.
- Train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; discipline employees; address complaints; and resolve issues.
- Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality. Suggest changes in working conditions and equipment use to increase efficiency.
- Conduct health, safety, and environmental meetings; train employees on compliance and responsibilities; perform accident investigations/reports.
- Establish and maintain training programs for production employees.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Maintain computer proficiency, including MS Office and MS Outlook. Strong Excel skills required.
- Knowledge of SAP and Oracle is a plus.
- Exhibit excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel occasionally.
- Lean Manufacturing Training is a plus.

- Offer previous people leadership experience within a production environment (required)
- Can stand or walk 90% of the day, and can reach, bend, and move inside the facility to move products (up to 50lb lift) (required)
