Job Description

Using your leadership and communication skills, you will supervise and coordinate daily activities of production workers on a shift. Responsibilities include safety, quality, production, shipping & receiving, and maintenance on an assigned shift. Key duties include:

• Inspecting products to verify conformance to specifications and adjusting machines accordingly.
• Studying production schedules and estimating worker hours for job completion.
• Establishing or adjusting work procedures to meet schedules.
• Recommending measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
• Suggesting changes to working conditions and equipment use to increase efficiency.
• Analyzing and resolving work issues, coaching employees.
• Maintaining time and production records.
• Coordinating with other departments to align production activities.
• Documenting shift incidents and accidents.
• Improving production goals and KPIs.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will have:

• 3 to 5 years of experience in a plant environment.
• HS Diploma or equivalent; college degree is a plus.
• Process control experience is advantageous.
• Experience with steel, slitting, coil coating, or related steel industries is preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to train, motivate, and lead production employees.
• Flexibility to work long and irregular hours based on customer demands.
• Willingness to work afternoon or night shifts.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
