Job Description

The 2nd Shift Production Supervisor will oversee Assembly Department personnel, ensuring Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost objectives are met while leading continuous improvement initiatives. The candidate will collaborate with Product Engineers, the Production Planner, and the Production Manager to ensure tasks and milestones are achieved.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the safety of all personnel and promptly address safety concerns.
  • Maintain product quality, re-prioritizing work as needed for quality reviews/dispositions.
  • Achieve Delivery and Cost goals by adhering to standard work and manufacturing instructions.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts, including developing standard work, balancing operator workloads, conducting time studies, and implementing 5S initiatives.
  • Lead manufacturing problem-solving efforts, investigate process failures, and implement corrective actions across shifts.
  • Apply Lean methodologies such as point of use tooling, waste elimination, and process enhancements.
  • Train and mentor personnel on EBOS, ISO procedures, manufacturing documentation, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Accurately report time clock data and approve timecards for assigned personnel.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and support weekly cycle counts.
  • Collaborate with operators, quality inspectors, and product engineers.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of project, manufacturing, or related engineering experience. Preferred qualifications include:

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with program/project management experience.
  • Problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in project management, including planning and execution.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, and ERP/MRP systems.
  • Excellent communication skills for interaction with teams and management.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
